Windsurfing and sailing tuition, training to RYA standards and equipment hire, group participation and activities.
Gwent Adventures have been the main service provider at Llandegfedd for over 20 years. In the new plans the company will be converted into a Community Interest Company (CIC) feeding profits back into the centre once costs have been met.
Terry Sculley is the proprietor and was joined in 2007 by Mike Walklin who has taken on the task of developing windsurfing activities and is particularly involved with the T15 development programme.
Other commercial bodies may be involved for the provision of other specialist services as appropriate to the interests of the users, working through the CIC. Provisions for disabled sailing is one option being considered if the centre can raise adequate funding for the specialist aids required and provide suitable care assistants.
